Last week Volvo India announced its latest SUV model - XC60. As per the latest news from the industry Volvo XC60 will hit the indian roads by next month. The all new 2011 XC60 is a D+ segment SUV vehicle from the Volvo and it is Volvo's first compact SUV. This XC60 SUV is considered to be the competent to the Audi Q5 and BMW X3. Here we discuss about the technical features of the Volvo XC60.
The all new 2011 Volvo XC60 combines latest automobile technology with stylish design, comfort and performance. Volvo XC60 SUV will be launched by November 24th and it will be available in both petrol and diesel versions carrying sub-variants. The 2011 XC60 is a 4-door, 5-passenger luxury sport-utility, available in 4 Variants, and they are 3.2, 3.2 R-Design, T6 AWD, T6 AWD R-Design.
While coming to the specifications of the Volvo XC60 2011, It comes powered with 3.2-liter engine or a 3.0 litre 6 cylinder (4 valves per cylinder) engine which has a DOHC Engine. The first engine will delivers a Max.Power of 240 @ 6200 rpm and Max. Torque of 236 @ 3200 rpm and offers a mileage of 18-mpg in the city and 25-mpg on the highway. The 3.0 liter engine produces a power of 300 @ 5600 rpm and torque of 325 @ 1500-4800 rpm which offers a fuel economy of 17-mpg in the city and 22-mpg on the highway. Both the variants come with a 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive.
As per the test drive reports, the Volvo XC60 2011 will have an acceleration of 0 to 100km/hr in just 7.5 seconds and have a top speed of 210 km/hr. A new wedge-shaped nose with redesigned Volvo badge, new headlights that accentuate the bonnet's V shape, a beltline that rises towards the rear of the car, plus LED rear lights that help enhance the now-classic Volvo 'shoulders' are the major highlights of the 2011 Volvo XC60 Compact SUV.
Other than these features, 2011 Volvo XC60 comes with Tilt Steering, Auto Braking System(Electronic Stabilization program) along with VeDi/Di-S-ABS, 6 Airbags as Safety features and body Color bumpers, TachoMeter, Stylish Alloys, Xenon headlamps, OVRM indicator, Foglamps, parking sensors, Remote Central locking, Remote Fuel Filler, Electric Driver seat arrangement and Leather Seats as design features of XC60.
Volvo XC60 SUV will be launched in India by Nov 24th and the expected price of the Volvo XC60 is around Rs 38,00,000.
